Managing your Money
People are always asking me how much money is needed to start playing professionally. I always answer the same exact way, “That depends”.
Probably the biggest factor in deciding how big of a bankroll is needed is by asking yourself “What type of player am I?” If you are a very loose, very aggressive player, then you are going to need a lot more than a solid player. If you game is solid and you have a proper bankroll and you manage your money well, then you will go much further than someone flying from the hip.
Point is, know yourself first and foremost. Know your poker style and know your limits.
